    (LITTLE SNORING) (EMERGENCY NOTICE)

    TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION 2020

    Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 – Section 14(2)

    In accordance with the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, the Norfolk County Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to a burst water main the use by vehicles of the C317 The Street from a point 20m southeast of its junction with U14006 the Hill heading southeast for 40m in the PARISH OF LITTLE SNORING will be temporarily prohibited from 11th February 2020 to 17th February  2020 for the duration of the works, expected to be about 7 days within the period. If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 21 days.

    Alternative route is via: The Street, Holt Road, Kettlestone Road, Thursford Road, The Hill (Little Snoring/ Kettlestone).

    (If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order)

    Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

    TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER 2020

    Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 Section 14(1)

    ORDER prohibiting the use by vehicles of the U14006 Kettlestone Road from a point 37 metres southeast of its junction with the U11029 The Croft for a distance of 30 metres south-eastwards in the PARISH OF LITTLE SNORING

    1. Save as provided in Article 2 of this Order and whereas the Norfolk County Council as Traffic Authority for the Administrative County of Norfolk is satisfied that:-
    • A new water main is required at the the U14006 Kettlestone Road from a point 37 metres southeast of its junction with the U11029 The Croft for a distance of 30 metres south-eastwards (hereinafter referred to as the said road) and:

    (ii)        that in consequence traffic over the said road should be prohibited with effect from 17th February 2020 to 21st February 2020 for the duration of the works expected to be about 5 days within the period.

    1. Nothing in Article 1 of this Order shall make it unlawful for a vehicle which requires access, to proceed to a final destination situated within the length of road specified in Article 1 of this Order.
    2. This Order has a maximum duration of 18 months and will be revoked upon completion of the works. Where exceptional circumstances are encountered during the performance of the works specified in this Order the operational period of this Order may become extended to allow completion of the works after obtaining consent of the Secretary of State.

    NOW THEREFORE the Norfolk County Council DO HEREBY ORDER, that with effect from 17th February 2020 to 21st February 2020 for the duration of the works the said road SHALL NOT BE USED by any class of vehicle.

  • Cuppa in the Community 2020

    Do come and join us for Cuppa in the Community on the third Monday in the month. This social event is held in the Community Room on the Playing Field, Stevens Road (off Kettestone Road) NR21 0GZ.

    During January, February and March, Cuppa in the Community is at the earlier time of 12 noon. We have toasted cheese sandwiches along with a hot drink and a raffle. Everyone is welcome to come along and have chat.

    Dates for 2020 at 12 noon in the Community Room: 20 January, 17 February and 16 March.

    For the rest of the year we are back to afternoon tea at 2 pm (finish at 4 pm): 20 April, 18 May, 15 June, 20 July, 17 August, 21 September, 19 October, 16 November and 14 December.

  • Notice of Temporary Road Closure in Fulmodeston

    NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL has made a Temporary Traffic Order affecting the C331 Croxton Road from its junction with the U14142 Back Lane for a distance of 50 metres eastwards in the PARISH OF FULMODESTON because of water stoptap replacement works.

    The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 28th October 2019 to 30th October 2019 for the duration of the works, expected to be 3 days within the period.

    Alternative route is via: Croxton Road, Hindolveston Road, Holt Road, Dereham Road, Melton Road, Fakenham Road, Kettlestone Road, Little Snoring Road, Fulmodeston Road (Fulmodeston, Little Snoring, Kettlestone, Wood Norton, Briningham, Thursford, Hindolveston, Melton Constable, Swanton Novers).

    (If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order).

    Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

    In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.
