The SAM2 unit was on Holt Road during March 2024 monitoring traffic speed and the volume of vehicles travelling from Thursford into the village.

From 10 March to 9 April 2024

• 169,360 vehicles were recorded with an average of 5,634 per 5 day (5,517 per 7 day).
• The peak times of travel are 10 am to 11 am: average of 539 vehicles per 5 day (523 vehicles per 7 day); and 4 pm to 5 pm: average of 523 vehicles per 5 day (501 vehicles per 7 day)
• The maximum speed was 95 mph at 00:50 on Saturday 16 March, (although the average speeder was travelling at just over 42 mph).

The majority of vehicles were travelling below the speed limit which is 40 mph. The 85^th percentile speed (i.e. of 143,956 vehicles) was 42.2 mph; and the average speed was 36.3 mph.

The SAM2 unit was Kettlestone Road during January and February 2024 monitoring traffic speed and the volume of vehicles travelling towards the school.

From 9 January to 20 February 2024

• 19,784 vehicles were recorded with an average of 504 per 5 day (454 per 7 day).
• The peak times of travel are 8 am to 9 am: average of 48 vehicles per 5 day (37 vehicles per 7 day); and 3 pm to 4 pm: average of 46 vehicles per 5 day (38 vehicles per 7 day)
• The maximum speed was 55 mph at 8:45 am on Friday 26 January, (although the average speeder was travelling at just over 33 mph).
• The majority of vehicles were travelling below the speed limit which is 30 mph. The 85^th percentile speed (i.e. of 16,816 vehicles) was 28.1 mph; and the average speed was 17.9 mph.

The SAM2 unit was on Holt Road near Crossways during November and December monitoring traffic speed and the volume of vehicles travelling from Fakenham towards Holt.

From 20 November 2023 – 8 January 2024

Total vehicles 290,234

An average of 5,818 vehicles were recorded coming into the village per day

The peak times of travel were 8 am to 9 am (average of 409 vehicles); and 12 pm to 1 pm (average of 546 vehicles)

The maximum speed was 85 mph at 1:45 am on 26 December.

The majority of vehicles were travelling below the speed limit which is 40 mph. The 85^th percentile speed (i.e. of 246,699 vehicles) was 40.3 mph; and the average speed was 33.6 mph.

The SAM2 unit was on The Street near the bus shelter during September and October monitoring traffic speed and the volume of vehicles travelling from Great Snoring into the village.

From 10 September – 16 October 2023

• A total of 10,717 vehicles were recorded coming into the village with an average of 368 per day
• The peak times of travel are 9 am to 10 am (average of 22 vehicles per day); and 3 to 4 pm (average of 43 vehicles per day)
• The maximum speed was 60 mph at 2:25 pm on 29 September, (although the average speeder was travelling at 34 mph).
• The majority of vehicles were travelling below the speed limit which is 30 mph. The 85^th percentile speed (i.e. of 9,109 vehicles) was 33.1 mph; and the average speed was 25 mph.

The SAM2 unit was Holt Road near Crossways during August and September monitoring traffic speed and the volume of vehicles travelling from Fakenham towards Holt.

From early August to mid-September 2023

• An average of 6,488 vehicles were recorded coming into the village per day
• The peak times of travel are 10 to 11 am (average of 540 vehicles); and 4 to 5 pm (average of 589 vehicles)
• The maximum speed was 95 mph at 11:40 am on 31 August, (although the average speeder was travelling just under 35 mph).
• The majority of vehicles were travelling below the speed limit which is 40 mph. The 85^th percentile speed (i.e. of 115,827 vehicles) was 40.8 mph; and the average speed was 34.8 mph.

The SAM2 unit was Kettlestone Road from September to November 2022 monitoring traffic speed and the volume of vehicles travelling towards the school.

From 12 September 2022 to 28 November 2022

• 8,835 vehicles were recorded with an average of 305 per day.
• The peak times of travel are 8 am to 9 am (average of 35 vehicles); and 3 pm to 4 pm (average of 31 vehicles)
• The maximum speed was 70 mph at 8:10 am on 27 September, (although the average speeder was travelling 23 mph).
• The majority of vehicles were travelling below the speed limit which is 30 mph. The 85^th percentile speed (i.e. of 7,510 vehicles) was 29.6 mph; and the average speed was 23 mph.
